FOTD: Sue's makeover (cut crease tutorial)

Salam to all make up gang!

I did a makeover on one of my old buddy, Sue, a while back. We did a cut crease look using white, black and blue eyeshadow. Though it looked kinda dramatic, it is actually quite easy to do it. If you have a blue eyeshadow that you just don't know how to use it, I recommend to apply it like this. And of course you can always substitute the blue with any colour you loike. Brown for a more natural look, pink to be a little sweet or even green that will look good on dark brown eyes.

Here's what i did to get the look:

After prepping the eyes, I layered a white cream eyeshadow for base. Then I applied a few layers of white eyeshadow all over the lids and under the brow.

Next, using a stiff angle shader brush (tip: you can always use a sponge tip to do this. better control) line the crease with a blue eyeshadow. Blend and fade it away towards the brow. Be careful not to get blue on the white eyeshadow.

Then, repeat the same process with a black eyeshadow. Blend it away but remember not to cover all the blue. The black is only for depth and definition.

Lastly, line the eyes with a defined wing, mascara and lashes. Finished!

Itch reviews: Me Now Splendid Honey Lipgloss

Pernah dengar tak brand ni? Me Now? Hmm.. memang sangat asingkan..miss syukur pun tak pernah dengar. Hari tu masuk Sinma nak beli klip rambut dan subang. Sinma sekarang dah banyak jual make up. Mula-mula tu takde ape yang menarik perhatian..tapi tiba-tiba nampak pulak test tubes ni. Test-test, miss syukur pun beli tiga.

Packagingnya sangat kiut. Macam test tubes masa kita sekolah-sekolah dulu. Harga pun tak berapa mahal RM 15.00 satu.

Ok mula-mula shade 12 dan 07.

Pro:

Warna pekat dan berpigmen.

Shade 12: pink purple yang cantik dan sesuai untuk kulit cerah ke sederhana.

Shade 07: Merah darah (bluish red) memang sesuai untuk semua. 

Shade 07 boleh buat blusher, shade 12 macam tak berapa sesuai sebab teksturnya cair siket dari 07.

Satu lapis dah cukup untuk nampak opaque.

Con:

Ia bukan lipgloss lebih kepada creamy lipcolour..hehe jadi tak berkilat.

Tak berapa tahan lama untuk shade 12.

Akhir sekali shade 14. My least favourite.

Pro:

Em...susah ni, miss syukur memang suka warna coral pink ni tapi....

Con:

Mengandungi shimmer yang kasar, boleh rasa kat bibir dan tak selesa.

Formulanya sangat kering, lepas sejam pakai warnanya merekah. Sangat hodoh.

Susah sangat nak sapu untuk nampak sekata.

Kesimpulannya, miss syukur suka shade 12 dan 07.  Memang jatuh cinta dengan shade 07 merah menyala tu. Kalau tak berani nak pakai terang boleh "stain" je kat bibir untuk nampak natural. 

Tak taula ape nak buat dengan shade 04 tuh..tengokla miss syukur try campur dengan lipgloss lain ke, manala tau bole pakai.

Kalau sape-sape suka lipgloss ni boleh cuba tengok di Sinma. miss syukur rasa kat Hot Market pun ada kot.

FOTD: Aidil Adha 2010

Salam Aidil Adha to all...

How was your celebration? 

Mine was good. I went back to my kampung to celebrate. Watched two cows being sacrificed at the kampung surau with my son..well actually we went back just before the imam did the sacrifice because my son wanted to poop (don't know what word to use :) ) hehe.. And then in the evening we also celebrated my son's birthday (he was born on Aidil Adha 3 years ago). 

So here's the FOTD of aidil adha. I wanted to do something more..."festive and colourful" but I was a little bit running out of time to get ready. So I settled with a simple grey smokey eyes. Yeah..predictible..But my mom liked it, so all is not lost. 

The look is fairly easy using three colours that you can easily obtain from any generic palette or quad.

Here's the swatch of the colours used and a simple eye map of the application.

Shade 1: deep brown with green undertones, shade2: deep grey and shade 3: light shimmery grey

Itch looks: Fast and simple.

I like dramatic and colourful make up looks but honestly, on a daily basis I would usually wear simple make up. Ones that could get me out of the door in fifteen minutes or less. And this is one of them. It is so simple and you'll need about 10 products (or less). The results, you'll look fresher and healthier (your complexion that is :) )

Okay let's start.

We need to apply a foundation. I skipped concealer and just used a bit more foundation on areas which i need more coverage. Set it with lose powder. Then I applied blush on my cheek bones and blend it towards my temples.

After that i filled in my brows. I used a white eyeliner to highlight my brow bones and inner corners.

Then I lined my upper lash lines. Smudge the lines with a cotton bud and then line again. Smudge the stained cotton bud on your lower lash lines. Set the lines with a little bit of your loose powder. Apply white eyeliner on your lower waterlines. Curl lashes and apply several coats of your favourite mascara.

Lama dah tak update sebabnya...it's the time of the month! Jerawat tumbuh..Emosi tak stabil...hehe

Duduk-duduk dari tak buat ape baik review something. Camnola bole produk ni tak masuk senarai untuk direview padahal dah pakai hampir 10 tahun. Pikir-pikir balik nila produk yang paling lama menginap di meja solekku...

Jeng jeng jeng!!! Krim Temulawak!! atau nama glamer dia Temulawak Pearl Nutrition Cream.

Ape itu temulawak? Temulawak ni berasal dari kepulauan Indonesia dan merupakan kembar tak serupa kepada cik kunyit. Kandungan aktif dalam temulawak ialah  curcumin .  Antara kebaikan curcumin untuk kulit ialah:

Anti keradangan. Berkesan menghilangkan kesakitan, kemerahan dan kegatalan (sesuai untuk jerawat)

Anti bakteria. Orang dolu-dolu sapu kat luka.

Anti oksidan berkesan melambatkan penghasilan garis-garis halus.

Ada juga kajian menunjukkan ia dapat menghalang kesan daripada pancaran UV.

miss syukur start pakai krim ni masa kat uni dulu. Ada sorang member tu pakai as foundation (tapi kena pakai nipis je tau) pas tu set dengan bedak..hmmm muka jadi licin abes..betul nih. miss syukur pernah jugak try buat bedak asas...tapi tak leh jalan..sebab krim ni berminyak..tak sesuai dengan kulit miss syukur...

miss syukur guna krim ni untuk satu benda je..iaitu sebagai krim jerawat. Memang berkesan. Kalau ade jerawat yang tengah masak ranum tu sebelum tido miss syukur akan sapu pada jerawat tu..insya Allah esok pagi dia kering dan jatuh sendiri dan tiada kesan. Kalau tak kering jugak miss syukur akan ulang dan sapu setiap kali sebelum tido. Kalau ada parut jerawat pun boleh sapu krim ni. Lambat siketla nak cerah balik tapi lambat laun ia akan  hilang tanpa kesan.

Tapi keberkesanan krim ni sangat bergantung pada jenis kulit seseorang sebab ia berasaskan herba. Ada yang pakai sangat ok dan ada jugak yang makin banyak keluar jerawat. Jadi kalau nak tahu sesuai ke tidak..bole cuba sendiri. Harganya tak mahal sekitar RM4-RM6 bergantung mana tempat korang beli. miss syukur beli kat kedai jamu je. Tapi pastikan yang original tau. Ada serial number and pelekat hologram. Ada yang kata temulawak ni beracun. Setakat ni miss syukur pakai ok. Semak kat internet yang beracun adalah Temulawak Papaya Cream dan bukan yang ini.

miss syukur punya pun dah nak abes tu..Ayuh dong kita mampir ke toko jamu terdekat.

Itch looks: Deepavali celebration.

Hello all...

Since tomorrow is Depavali, just wanting to share a look with all of you. When thinking about Deepavali you just got to have colours! The more they contrast, the better! I was really inspired by this look from this month's Cleo Magazine.

So here's what i came up with...

As usual prep and prime your eyes. I did my face after i finished my eye make up, in case there's mistakes and fall outs.

With black pencil eyeliner, draw an exagerrated crease and wing.

 

For the purple and yellow to stand out more, apply a white base. I used a white eyeliner pencil for this and don't forget to blend wit fingers.

Using an angled brush, retrace the black line using any matte black eyeshadow. Blend the colour inwards and downwords but be careful not to go where the white base is.

Then, take a shimmery purple colour (I used 120 palete shade a26) and gently pat the colour on the white base. Build up the colour. And then blend, blend, blend with the black. 

Tip: To fade the black to purple i used a warm brown colour.

After that apply a vibrant yellow colour on the inner corners. I used 120 palete shade b47 and b46.

Line your eyes, curl lashes, mascara. Then, I applied colourful lashes just for fun!

Your eyes should look like this (or even better because mine's pretty sloppy me thinks)
