Time for another review!
Today, the spotlight will be on the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder.
I have been using a medium dark brown from my 18 colours palette for contouring. But it's a bit of a hassle to carry around. I have a contour blush duo in a compact from Sojo but the contour powder is too red and the texture is a bit powdery. I saw Elf Studio carry this type of palette and have been having good reviews. I bought one to try out.
The palette comes with two colours: Blushed and Bronzed.
Blushed: It's a pinky coral with tiny golden glitter specks. When applied the gold shimmer gives out a nice sheen.
Bronzed: Dark brown with the same tiny glitter specks. Although we've been thought that contouring powder should be matte, the shimmer in Bronzed looks natural on the skin. The glitters are barely seen even with the flash on.
PROS:
Blushed gives a healthy glowy look to the cheeks when applied.
Both colours have good pigmentation.
Plenty of product to go around since you only need a little.
People are saying that Bronzed is too dark, but it works just fine for me.
Huge mirror.
Affordable = USD3.00 (RM15-RM20)
CONS:
Lasting power is not that good, especially for Blushed.
Not available locally.
All and all, I love Blushed since it's a unique colour. Plus I can skip putting highlighter when I'm using it. Yup Bronzed is a bit dark. Hence making it a good contour powder but a VERY BAD bronzer. Don't go bronzing up your face with this. Bronzed showed up just nice when I used my ELF Minerals Complexion brush (thank God!). I use this to contour cheek bones, nose bridge and my eye crease. Don't forget to tap off the excess first :) OOhh, and Blushed makes a nice natural looking eyeshadow too.
Will I repurchase? Sure, it's handy and does it job. I like having it around :)
BTW, saw a very similar product from SimplySiti called Simply Shading Blush. But it's part of the limited edition Gold Series and costs RM49.90, which to me is quite a lot (since there's less product compared to ELF's).

Anybody using any of these products? Mind sharing thoughts?
Have a colourful day lovelies!
